Gardening: Leave little trace to make big impact | Southsea Green

October is such a beautiful month. Autumn in the garden is second only to spring in terms of beauty and the number of jobs to be done.

The glorious changing colours remind us of the natural passage of time in what has been just a typical year for the silver birch, the potato and the dahlia... unlike for the rest of us!

As feelings and situations remain uncertain and we find ourselves a little all over the place at times, we again look to nature and our community for support and grounding.

One thing that has arisen from these times is an uplift in togetherness. We depend on nature and nature depends on us and likewise for community.

So support your local shops, growers, producers and creatives and by doing so our footprints will remain small but the impact on our communities will be much greater.
