'He's my golden boy': six-year-old motocross rider competes in UK championships after only 14 months of riding
His family say they are incredibly proud of how far he has come
A six-year-old motocross rider who was born weighing just 1lb 11oz has gone from riding around his local park to competing in the UK motocross championships within just 14 months.
Boycie Clements was born prematurely at just 26 weeks and weighed only 1lb 11oz.
“We spent the first three or four months in QA hospital NICU as there had been complications,” said Boycie’s dad Tony Clements.
“He’s six now but he's still in aged four to five clothes, he’s so small, his handlebars are thicker than his arms,” he said. “He started riding about 14 months ago on his electric Revvi around the park and just took a shine to it.”

Boycie has no formal motocross training, but is now competing in three separate championships, the EMX Sparks, MEP and EXGB.
His family say they are incredibly proud of how far he has come.
“He’s winning races, he’s doing amazing,” said Tony.

Boycie will compete in the finals of the AMPED EMX Sparks British Masters 2026 in Bath on September 5 to 6.
“He was winning the championship during all the rounds until he had a really bad crash, he lost a big selection of points. He’s been second for the last two rounds and this is it, this is the weekend it comes down to the crunch.”
“He’s just a little superstar. He’s my golden boy. He is already champion in my eyes,” said Tony.
