Marc Reddy, First Solent's managing director, said: '˜This is an important day for many people to remember family, friends and others who have been lost in military service or just want to pay their respects. We are pleased to be supporting the occasion and want to make it as easy as possible for people to attend the commemorative events taking place in the region'.

He added: '˜Many of our employees, from drivers, engineers to office staff have served in the military, so this time of year is particularly poignant across our sites.'

As a part of First Solent's support for Remembrance Sunday and the British Legion's Poppy Appeal, many buses will feature poppies fitted to the exterior of the vehicle.

The legion is urging as many people as possible to support its appeal this year.
