Competitive care home celebrates Scrabble Day
RESIDENTS at a care home got stuck into celebrating a day's worth of scrabble on Thursday.
The Fernes care home in Fareham enjoyed the classic board game with relatives, visitors and staff to mark International Scrabble Day.
Catherine Bezer, general manager said: ‘We love playing Scrabble here at The Fernes so naturally we wanted to celebrate the day. Some of the care stuff got involved in the games too but they did not stand a chance – we have some very experienced and talented players living here and visiting us.’
