Attempted robbery arrest after boy, 14, is threatened by person with a knife in Locks Heath

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery after a teenager was approached by a thug wielding a knife.

Police said the youngster, from Warsash, remains in custody after the incident in Locks Road, Locks Heath at 7.35am on Thursday.

The victim, also 14, ran away after he was approached by a suspect who was wearing a balaclava.

As he turned around, he described seeing them holding a knife. He was not injured.

The arrest follows officers’ house-to-house enquiries in the area since the incident, as well as CCTV analysis.

Hampshire Constabulary urged anyone with dash cam footage of the area at the time of the incident to call them on 101, quoting 44200046172.
