Body found in hunt for missing Paul Daraz, 48, of Horndean

POLICE hunting for missing man Paul Daraz have found a body.

The 48-year-old from Horndean vanished five days ago, sparking a desperate appeal by his family over the weekend.

Police launched a search effort for Mr Daraz but today announced that a body had been found during the hunt.

A police spokesman said: ‘Formal identification has not yet taken place, but his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

‘His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file shall be prepared for the coroner.’

As previously reported, Mr Daraz was last seen in Catherington Lane in Horndean, at about 4.30pm on Tuesday, July 7.

His family reported him missing at 11am on the same day, with officers over the weekend saying his loved ones were becoming ‘increasingly concerned for his welfare’.
