Burglaries spark police warning in Rowlands

A SPATE of break-ins have prompted an urgent police warning.

Hampshire Constabulary is asking residents living across the Rowlands Castle area to make sure their garages are secured.

It comes after a number of properties were raided last week. The buildings were all targeted on Friday and Saturday, police announced yesterday.

The first was in Kings Close on Friday evening, between 6pm and 11pm, with the second taking place in nearby Uplands between 4pm and 10am on Saturday.

PCSO Tria Gibbs said: ‘If anyone has seen anyone suspicious in either of these areas during these times, or have seen vehicles they did not recognise, please call 101 and quote 44180072793 for Kings Close and 44180072929 for Uplands.’

She urged people to fit alarms to their garages and take photos of any valuable items stored in them.
