Chewing gum thief caught

A CHEWING gum thief has been ordered to pay compensation.

Thomas Peters, 54, of Waverley Road, Southsea stole £80 of chewing gum from Nisa in Southsea.

He committed the offence on December 22 last year.

He pleaded guilty at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

Peters was ordered to pay £80 compensation.

The court ordered him to be detained in the building but deemed this as served as he spent time in custody.
