Drink-driver fined £1,250

A MAN was fined £1,250 and banned for two years after being caught more than double the limit.

Juris Polanskis, 42, of Dean Road, Cosham, was stopped driving in Kingston Road, Buckland, on May 5.

A test revealed he had 96 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than double the 35mcg legal limit. He must pay a £125 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Polanskis pleaded guilty to drink-driving at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.
