Drink-driver fined £600

MAGISTRATES have fined a drink-driver £600.

Lewis Dewhurst, 34, of Walmersley Road, Bury, admitted drink-driving in Princess Anne Way, Portsmouth, on September 8.

A test showed he had 64 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, nearly double the 35mg legal limit.

Magistrates banned him from driving for 18 months.

He must pay a £60 victim charge and £85 prosecution costs.
