Gosport man, 23, arrested following failure to appear in court after being spotted by eagle-eyed police officer

GOSPORT police have today arrested a man after he failed to appear in court.

The 23-year-old Gosport man was arrested in Avenue Road just after 10am this morning, and travelled to custody with police.

He was arrested with a ‘Fail To Appear’ warrant, which is a type issued during criminal proceedings when a defendant fails to appear in court.

In a tweet, Gosport police said: ‘The arrest followed another great spot by PCSO Hughes, of The tweet also included the hashtag ‘#OneDetained’.
