Sammy Kimmence, 25, had previously denied participating in a fraudulent business as a sole trader of S&S Trading Ltd between July 27 in 2016 and December 9 2018 with intent to defraud creditors or any other person.

But dressed in a smart two-piece suit, white shirt and tie, and his hair slicked back, Kimmence today pleaded guilty to five counts of fraud by false representation against the complainants who were 90 and 80 at the time.

He also admitted misusing his bank card in January 2017 with the defendant removing £1,285 cash from the victim’s account.

A third charge saw Kimmence admit defrauding Mr Martin out of £400 cash while the fourth charge, between December 2016 and July 2017, saw the defendant misuse the victim’s credit card, who was defrauded out of £1,395.

A fifth charge he pleaded guilty to involved defrauding Peter Haynes out of £7,927 between January 2016 and September 2016 after Kimmence transferred the money into his own bank account.

The court heard Kimmence had a previous good character and intended to pay back the money he had taken but ‘needed time to do that’.

A confiscation hearing was also arranged for August 19.

Recorder Nicholas Haggan QC told Kimmence the offences were ‘serious’. He said: ‘I’m satisfied the custody threshold has been crossed and as a young man with previous good character I agree to a pre-sentence report to find out as much information about you as possible.’

The recorder added: ‘You are at risk of a custodial sentence.’

Kimmence, of Rayleigh in Essex, was granted conditional bail not to contact the complainant.

He will next appear for sentence on June 11.

The defendant has been dating Love Island star Dani Dyer, 24, after she split with 2018 ITV2 series co-winner Jack Fincham, 28, around 10 months after winning the dating show.

Kimmence and Dani, who is the daughter of Eastenders star Danny Dyer, became parents to a boy after the former Love Island star gave birth in January. The pair are currently engaged to be married.
