M275 fatal crash: Dash-cam footage appeal as police want witnesses to car falling off motorway

POLICE are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision today (July 15) on the M275.

A 40-year-old man from Lee-on-the-Solent tragically died following a serious crash near the Tipner Lane roundabout.

A statement from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘Officers were called to a serious road-traffic collision at 9.41am this morning on the M275, approaching the Tipner roundabout.

‘Despite the best efforts of the ambulance crew, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.’

The passenger of the vehicle, a 23-year-old man from Derbyshire, was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The deceased’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to any witnesses who saw the collision and would particularly like to hear from any motorist who may have dash-cam footage.
