Magistrate jails thief
MEAT thief Ashley Martin has been jailed.
The 35-year-old, of no fixed address, admitted theft of £30 of beef sirloin from Iceland in Portsmouth on December 5.
Portsmouth magistrates jailed him for 12 weeks.
The court heard he has a prolific history of committing similar offences.
He is not willing to engage with probation, the court heard.
