Man arrested after attack near Gosport pub
A male has been arrested on suspicion of assault outside a pub.
Police say the suspect is was held for assault on a 37-year-old man near the Fox Tavern, in Northcross Street, Gosport, between 3am and 3.45am on Saturday.
The victim was taken to hospital with a brain injury and a broken jaw after it was believed he cracked his head on the pavement, which led him to suffer a bleed on the brain.

Hide AdA spokesman for Hampshire Police said: ‘A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
‘He has been bailed until September 23 pending an investigation.’
