Man charged with assault in Kingston Crescent, Portsmouth is named by police

A MAN has been charged after an assault which left a Portsmouth man in hospital.

Charlie Blue McGowan, 20, of Drummond Road, Landport, has been charged with wounding with intent and burglary after the incident in Kingston Crescent on Thursday afternoon.

The victim, a man in his 30s, is in Southampton General Hospital in a stable condition, police say.

McGowan is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court today (Sat).
