Man charged with murder as police name people found dead in Basingstoke home

Police were called to a home in Buckland Avenue in Basingstoke just before 2am on Sunday.

Officers discovered the bodies of a man and a woman.

Hampshire Constabulary have now named them as Geoffrey Hibbert, 61, and Michelle Caroline Hibbert, 29.

Stanley Elliot, 52, of Kiln Road in Sherborne St John, has been charged with murder.

He is due to appear before Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
