Man in his 20s dies after being hit by a lorry on the A3(M) near Waterlooville

The victim, a man in his 20s, was hit at about 9pm by a white DAF truck on the northbound stretch of the road between junctions 3 to Waterlooville and 4 to Purbrook.

Police said the male died at the scene.

The road was closed into the early hours of this morning, witnesses have told The News.

Police have launched an investigation into the death and are appealing for people to come forward.

A spokesman added: ‘The man’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.’
