Man stabbed several times in Portsmouth after gang tries to bundle him into boot of car

Police have now revealed details of an attack in Bradford Road, Somers Town.
A 19-year-old was grabbed by several men who tried to shove him into a car.

Hide AdA police spokeswoman said: ‘The man managed to escape and run further along Bradford Road towards Winston Churchill Avenue before the men caught up with him and stabbed him a number of times in his arms and legs.’
It happened between 2pm and 3.15pm yesterday. The road was cordoned off until the evening, with forensics teams called in to investigate.
Police say the man was taken to hospital with ‘non-life threatening injuries’.
Det Insp Abbie Leeson from Eastern CID said ‘This was a concerning attack that happened in broad daylight at a busy time of day.

Hide Ad‘However, we believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no wider risk to the public.
‘I am certain people would have seen or heard this incident and as such am appealing for witnesses to come forward.’
