Murder probe involving Gosport woman sees man arrested and appeal to find man with links to town

Police have today arrested a 25-year-old man from Southampton on suspicion of the murder of Mark Noke, 64. He died of a stab wound to his chest at his home address in Warburton Road, Southampton, on February 25. The suspect remains in police custody.

The force had also appealed to find 23-year-old Leighton Tabone, who has links to Gosport and Southampton.

Hide AdA 39-year-old Southampton man had previously been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Yesterday he was rearrested on suspicion of murder and has been bailed while enquiries continue.
A 27-year-old Gosport woman and a 29-year-old Southampton woman were previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and bailed while enquiries continue. Six other men, aged 21, 23, 28, 31 and two aged 20, were arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed as part of the case.

Acting detective chief inspector Howard Broadribb said: ‘New evidence came to light which led us to rearrest this individual. We continue to work through a large quantity of information and leads and I hope these arrests show the continued dedication our team has to getting justice for Mark and his family in what has been a complex investigation.’
