Murderer '˜abducted, tortured and raped' schoolgirl

THE family of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler have told of their torment after her killer Levi Bellfield gave details of his crimes.

Bellfield repeatedly raped, tortured and murdered 13-year-old Milly, her family said in a statement after he admitted the crime.

He was given a whole-life prison sentence in June 2011 for murder, but had never admitted killing her.

Last month Surrey Police revealed he admitted what he did during an investigation into whether he had an accomplice. They arrested then released a man. Bellfield, who was a car clamper in Chichester in 2004, told police of her final 14 hours.
