Nine suspected illegal immigrants detained near Chichester
NINE suspected illegal immigrants have been detained by the Home Office after they were seen running from a lorry.
Police responded to the incident in Chichester Road, Selsey, West Sussex, at 12.42pm on Friday.
Officers assisted by the National Police Air Helicopter carried out an extensive search of the area before making he arrests.
Eight men and a teenage boy were detained, according to the authority.
The males are being held on suspicion of immigration offences.
The incident has been handed to the Home Office.
