Police are hunting for these men after four boxes of eggs were stolen from a Waterlooville garden

WATERLOOVILLE police have launched a CCTV appeal in a bid to track down thieves who have been stealing things from people’s gardens – including four boxes of eggs.

Police themselves said the latest in the string of thefts is ‘by no means crime of the century’ when they shared pictures on Facebook today.

They depict two men, caught by a Ring doorbell camera, who match descriptions given by residents after people were seen in their gardens.

‘You could even call it hunt for the egg snatcher.

‘However we are looking to identify these people in this CCTV after four boxes of eggs were stolen shortly after midnight on Saturday in Lovedean Lane.

‘The reason we are posting this is we've had similar incidents of youths matching this description [who] may have entered other people’s gardens that night and last night.

‘We would like to speak with these persons if possible.’
