Officers received a witness report on Wednesday about an ‘aggressive male’ who was shouting at people on the High Street.

Gosport police are urging witnesses who were verbally abused to come forward by calling 101, via or an online report.

In a statement, they said: ‘On Wednesday, we received a witness report of an aggressive male who had been shouting and swearing at members of the public in Gosport High Street.

‘The suspect was also heard making threats towards passers-by at various points during the day.

‘We have so far received no reports from any victims of this incident, but we would urge you to come forward if you were one of those who was verbally abused or threatened.

‘This behaviour is a criminal offence and nobody should have to tolerate it.

‘With your help, we will be looking to deal with the suspect in this matter.’
