Police investigating Southsea moped crash where 4x4 driver drove off

Police officers are investigating after an 18-year-old man riding a grey Piaggio moped collided with the car in Blackfriars Road at 5.10pm on Thursday.

It was a narrow section of the road, at the junction with Hyde Park Road.

The driver of the 4x4, reported to be a woman with blonde hair, drove off without stopping.

An earlier version of this story described the woman as having grey hair but police have since amended description.

PC Nick Gard said: ‘We are appealing for witnesses to identify the 4x4 vehicle and its driver.
