Police make arrest linked to Class A drug dealing after Southsea property is raided

POLICE have arrested a man and seized ‘a large amount of cash’ following a search of a property in Southsea.

A 45-year-old man from Southsea was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, after police issued a warrant to search an undisclosed property at 6:30am on Friday, November 27.

Officers from the Response and Patrol and Neighbourhood Policing teams, alongside a police dog, seized several phones and a large amount of cash, according to a spokeswoman from Hampshire Constabulary.

She said: ‘The 45-year-old man from Southsea has been released under investigation while police enquiries continue.’
