Police appeal for witnesses after 'suspicious' incident where boy, 12, chased by man while walking home in Hampshire

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a boy was chased down the street by a man in Hampshire.

The 12-year-old was walking home when a man jumped out of an old VW Transporter and began running after him.

It was reported that the man touched the boy’s elbow, but he managed to push the man away and run off.

Officers have described the incident which took place in Bordon last week as ‘suspicious.’

They are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area to get in touch.

A statement from Hampshire police said: ‘We know these kind of reports concern the community.

Officers will continue to carry out increased patrols in the area and work with the local schools to provide reassurance to both children and parents.’
