Portsmouth boy, 17, arrested after man is stabbed by gang who tried to force him into car boot

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy from Portsmouth has been arrested on suspicion of robbery, attempted kidnap and committing grievous bodily harm with intent after a man was stabbed.

The victim, 19, was left with wounds in his arms and legs after a gang attacked him and tried to bundle him into the boot of a car on Friday.

It happened in Bradford Road, Somers Town, between 2pm and 3.15pm.

Police said the victim was able to evade the thugs on foot at first, before they caught up with him stabbed him several times.

He was left with non-life threatening injuries.

A spokeswoman for Hampshire Constabulary said the boy who was arrested has been released on bail.
