Southsea Common stabbing: Detectives still questioning two teenagers arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

Two air ambulances and dozens of police officers were called to the Portsmouth Naval Memorial at 9pm on Monday, after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the chest.

A 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man from Southsea were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

They remain in custody and are still being questioned by police.

The teenager suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Southampton General Hospital.

Police say he remains in hospital and is in a stable condition.

A Hampshire police spokeswoman said: ‘The two arrested remain in police custody today.

‘The victim is still in hospital in a stable condition.’
