Southsea rape accused Muhib Uddin is bailed after court appearance

Muhib Uddin, 31, of Newcomen Road in Stamshaw, Portsmouth, appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court charged with raping a teenager in Southsea.

Uddin is accused of raping a 19-year-old woman on August 29 in an alleyway off Clarendon Road.

He was bailed to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on October 5.

Police said the victim is receiving support from specialist officers.

Three previously arrested men, 20, 25 and 37, all from Portsmouth, will face no action.
