Teenage boy, 15, is robbed after being followed by group of youths in Denmead

A TEENAGE boy had his bag and a speaker stolen from him during a robbery in Denmead.

The victim, who is 15, was walking with his friends past Denmead pavilion between 8pm and 8.20pm on Tuesday when they were approached by another group of young males.

The second group followed the boy and his friends, then in Lowland Road, one person from this second group grabbed the victim’s bag and stole a black Bluetooth speaker.

The second group continued to follow the first group on to Southwick Road before they left.

No injuries were reported.

A police spokesman said: ‘We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or has information that could help our enquiries.

‘We understand that a number of people saw what happened and filmed it on their smartphones. If this is you, please get in touch.’
