Teenage girl, 15, raped on Southampton Common

A teenage girl has been raped in a park in Southampton.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the incident involving a 15-year-old girl on Southampton Common.

The assault was reported on Sunday December 20, but happened between 1am and 5am on Saturday December 12.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said the girl is being supported by specially trained officers.

Police have been carrying out enquiries in the area and want to speak to anyone who was on the Common between 10pm on Friday December 11 and 5am on Saturday December 12.

They have also urged anyone with private CCTV of the park to get in touch, as well as anyone who was driving through the area at the time and might have dash cam footage.
