Thug broke punter’s nose at Portsmouth pub

James McCall, 55, of Berkshire Close, Landport, admitted carried out the assault at the John Jacques pub in Fratton Road on August 30.

Portsmouth magistrates imposed an eight-week jail term suspended for a year.

McCall was drunk, in a public place and he had ignored the landlord who asked him to leave.

He must complete 15 days' rehabilitation activities.

He must pay £250 compensation, a £122 victim surcharge and £85 costs. he admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm

If he breaches the suspended sentence he could be sent to prison.
