Woman arrested on suspicion of murder after baby found dead in Hampshire woodland

A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a baby was found dead in a woodland.

The recently-born boy was found near Shore Road, Hythe, on Thursday.

Police have now arrested a 36-year-old woman on suspicion of murder.

She is currently in police custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Liz Williams said: ‘This is a difficult and complex investigation, and we have a dedicated team working hard to establish the exact circumstances of what took place.
