Royal Navy's HMS Prince of Wales departs Portsmouth for latest mission

HMS Prince of Wales departed Portsmouth yesterday evening after setting off for her latest voyage.

The warship was seen making her way out to the Solent as she embarks on her next NATO mission.

A post on social media from HMS Prince of Wales said: ‘Anyone seen an aircraft carrier around here?

‘We're off to find those hot summer nights on our next NATO deployment.’

The post was accompanied by two pictures showing the city as the ship pulls away at sea.

People gathered to send her off.
