Fire crews from Fareham and Cosham extinguish fire at Brook Lane doctors surgery in Sarisbury Green

FAREHAM and Cosham fire services were called out to a blaze at a doctors surgery this afternoon (April 6).

Along with crews from Hightown, Fareham St Mary’s, Cosham, and Eastleigh, Fareham fire services were called at 12.37pm to attend an incident at Brook Lane Surgery in Sarisbury Green.

The fire had started in an electrical cupboard before spreading through two floors into the roof space of the building, which had already been evacuated.

Fire crews extinguished the blaze using breathing apparatus, hose reel jets, and two covering jets, and then used tactical ventilation to remove smoke.

The stop message came in at 2.22pm, although Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service confirmed that it has only just left the scene.
