Firefighters put out Ford Transit van after it goes up in flames in Southsea
The Ford Transit van was well alight by the time firefighters from Cosham arrived in Tower Road, Southsea, at 1am this morning, after a passerby called it in.

Hide AdItems inside the van, including a washing machine, were ablaze. They used a high-pressure lance to pierce the side of the blue van and inject a mist of water to bring the temperature down and control the fire.
Radiated heat from the fire also damaged a nearby scooter. It is not known how the fire started.
Elsewhere, fire crews from Fareham put out burning bushes in Cunningham Drive – once at 6.30pm last night and then again at 5.30am this morning.
