Gosport Borough fail to find net in stalemate

GOSPORT Borough's Southern League premier division game against Chesham United ended in a stalemate.

Both sides applied early pressure with both goalkeepers called into action. 

In the 43rd-minute, Gosport had their best chance when Patrick Suraci fired just wide.

The hosts went down to 10 men on 71 minutes when Harry Medway was sent off. 

Chesham pressed to find a goal but it finished 0-0.

Meanwhile in the Southern League division one, Moneyfields beat Cinderford Town 1-0.

Sam Pearce scored in the 57th-minute, heading into the net from Conor Bailey's cross.

Elsewhere, in the FA Vase, Horndean lost 2-0 at Chertsey Town.

In the Wessex League premier division, AFC Portchester won 2-0 against Bemerton Heath Harlequins, while Fareham Town lost 5-2 at Shaftesbury. 

Petersfield drew 0-0 away to Whitchurch United.
