Homes named after designer

A NEW development has been named in memory of the architect who designed it, following his death.

Churchill Retirement Living's new development in Park Gate has been named Beck Lodge, in memory of local senior architectural technician Billy Beck, who designed the development before he died last December.

James Barnes, regional managing director of Churchill Retirement Living, said: '˜Billy was a popular and highly-respected member of our team, who lived in Langton Matravers near Swanage and worked at Churchill's Ringwood office for three years.

'˜We felt it would be a fitting tribute to Billy and his family to name our new Park Gate development in his memory, and hope it will stand as a lasting testament to a dear colleague who we miss very much.

'˜We're proud to see Beck Lodge nearing completion, and excited to see it already sparking a great deal of interest from local over 60s.'
