IN PICTURES: Revellers celebrate as Whiskey Affair Festival returns to Portsmouth
It is the third year that the city has hosted the celebration which allows guests to sample a wide range of different blends.Â
The event, which took pace at Portsmouth Guildhall, attracted hundreds of people who were able to sample more than 80 different brands of whiskey.

Event organiser, Catherine Jackson, said it was a fantastic day: '˜We attracted over 200 people from a wide range of ages which included a growing interest from younger generations.'Â
As part of the celebration visitors could sample whiskies from a range of countries including Japan, Taiwan, Holland and Sweden.
'˜We also provided live music from local Portsmouth singer Becki Short and guests were able to try one of our 10 whiskey based cocktails,' added Catherine.

Hide AdAvailable cocktails included Rob Roy, Horses Neck and Japanese Breakfast - which include d salty bacon.
Catherine established the Hampshire company after identifying a niche in the market for people to discover the many different whisky brands.
Catherine hopes to establish The Whiskey Affair as an annual Portsmouth festival.
'˜We are already in discussions about the event returning next year,' said Catherine.Â
