Fareham firefighters tackle early morning bin shed fire close to apartment block

FIRE crews from Fareham were called in the early hours of this morning (April 28) to tackle a bin shed fire close to a block of flats.

Two fire appliances were deployed at 2.30am to the apartment block at Vesca House on Station Road in Park Gate.

Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the blaze but the fire had ‘spread to the roof and the building was completely destroyed’.

While firefighters said the blaze was ‘close to the flats’ there were no injuries to any of the residents.

Fire crews were stood down at 3.30am.
