A garage fire in Park Gate has threatened to spread to other properties. Picture: Ben Fishwick.

He said: ‘There was some equipment in the garage at the time.

‘We have no idea how it started – its very difficult to say given the extent of the damage.

‘There was slight damage to a neighbouring property, with damage to the fascia and the guttering.

‘Our main priority was to stop the fire spreading to other properties.

‘We were at the scene for about an hour and a half.’

The owner of the garage raised the alarm and no one was injured during the incident.
