Free singing day hosted by female chorus

Anyone interested in singing is invited to a free day hosted by a cappella chorus Spirit of the South.

The female chorus is holding the event on April 2 from 10am to 3pm to give people the chance to see how it is done, learn a simple song and get to know the group.

It takes place at Purbrook Members Centre in Stakes Road, Waterlooville.

The group has been together since 2008, and the 23 ladies enjoy local sing-outs, as well as taking part in competitions and yearly conventions and are affiliated to the Ladies’ Association of British Barbershop Singers.

The group rehearses at Havant Methodist Church, Petersfield Road, Havant from 7.15pm to 10pm.
