Gosport road now open after 'serious' crash as police to provide update
Gregson Avenue had been shut in both directions since approximately 8.20am following reports of a “serious” crash by a bridge on Thursday. Emergency services including police, the ambulance service and the air ambulance were all deployed to the scene.
A police cordon was set up with the road shut throughout Thursday. AA Traffic News said on Thursday: “Road closed due to serious crash on Gregson Avenue both ways from Prideaux-Brune Avenue to Chatfield Road. Traffic is coping well.”
However, the road is now open according to the travel news service. A police spokesperson said they will be providing more details on the incident today.
