Leigh Park girl, 5, to have 12 inches of hair cut off to donate to the Little Princess Trust
Leigh Park schoolgirl Poppy Crown will have 12 inches of her hair chopped off to be made into a wig by the Little Princess Trust, which provides free wigs for children and young people with hair loss.
Poppy is also raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support through the brave gesture, with the haircut set to take place at the Heron pub in Havant on September 27.

‘She’s been growing it ever since and it’s now down to her hips. Poppy absolutely loves Disney princesses and says she’s got Rapunzel hair.
‘She keeps asking me how many sleeps until she gets it cut so I think she’s really looking forward to it.’
Proud family members have given money towards the worthy cause, with her siblings Jayden, 10, and Nicole, 15, among her supporters.

Hide AdPoppy, who is in Year 1 at Riders Infant School, has been enjoying keeping track of the donations coming in to her online page which was set up by Heron manager Emma Cupit, with nearly £300 of an ambitious £1,200 target already collected for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Kay and her husband Simon were overwhelmed when Poppy first asked to have her hair cut off for the Little Princess Trust last year, but they weren’t surprised by the kind thought from their little girl.
Kay, 34, added: ‘For a three-year-old to ask that I think it’s really amazing.
‘I think it’s absolutely brilliant and we’re so grateful for everyone who has donated so far - people who don’t even know Poppy have donated.
