Nominate yourfirst aid hero

Organisers are calling for final nominations to be made for St John Ambulance's annual Everyday Heroes awards.

The first aid charity’s awards celebrate inspiring stories of first aid heroism from the general public.

The closing date for nominations is 5pm on March 24.

St John Ambulance is asking the public to get in touch and tell them about friends, family members, colleagues, and even strangers who have saved lives or championed first aid.

Mark Farmer, regional director for St John Ambulance in the south east, said: ‘We’re on the lookout for anyone who has gone out of their way to help people through first aid – from life savers, to campaigners, teachers, and fundraisers.’

The final ceremony will be in London on September 7.
