Ali Munden, the landlady, said: ‘It is so amazing to have raised so much money over the years for such a worthy cause and I am thankful for everyone that attends the meat raffles and helps us make it possible.

‘It is a brilliant charity and it has affected a lot of people in the community, so it is nice to be able to give something back.’

The afternoon event, which was held at the pub at 2pm, saw Steve Hampton perform some of his most popular songs which got the event swinging. There was also a meat raffle that took place which started off their new pot of funds for the charity, and they will continue to hold their weekly raffle.

Ali added: ‘It was a really good day and we look forward to supporting them further.’
