Three people rescued after speedboat incident off Portsmouth coastline

A TRIO of people were rescued by lifeboat crews after a speedboat capsized in the Solent.

One of the RNLI crews from Portsmouth were deployed on Friday, June 5, to recover the three people caught up in the incident.

They were taken to the slipway on Hayling Island, the RNLI says. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

The lifeboat crew also managed to recover the speedboat itself – a 14ft Fletcher speedboat – before it could sink.
