Treasure hunt captures the imagination as My Dog Sighs' artwork gets people outside on the Easter bank holiday weekend - in pictures

Between Friday, April 3 and Sunday, April 5, My Dog Sighs has been hiding almost 8,000 pieces of art work across the city as part of the celebration of the city’s centenary year. The beloved local artist, whose name is Paul Stone, has been releasing clues to locations of prized items on his social media channels.

On Saturday, he held a pop-up store on Clarence Esplanade where treasure hunters and fans got the chance to meet him in person, with many showing him the items they had found.

Hidden throughout the city are a wide variety of pieces including coins, beer mats, paintings, necklaces and bronze statues, all featuring the artist’s signature designs.

Even a grey and blustery day could dampen the enthusiasm of Portsmouth residents who headed out to find treasure and meet My Dog Sighs in person.
