Woman gets stuck in child's swing in Gosport - and is rescued by firefighters

A YOUNG woman was left rather red-faced on Friday night, after calling the emergency services to inform them she was stuck in a child’s swing.

Firefighters were called to Grove Road Recreation Ground in Gosport at 6.30pm on Friday, to a woman who was trapped in a child’s swing.

Fortunately, the fire team was able to pull her free.

Gosport’s crew manager on the night, Andy Hunt, said: ‘The woman wasn’t intoxicated or anything like that – it’s just one of those things.

‘Sometimes you get stuck and in a panic realise you can’t get yourself out.

‘This isn’t the first time we’ve been called to an incident like this, and it certainly won’t be the last either.’
